Scandinavian Dinnerware and Home Accents from Finnish Design Brand iittala

If you live in the Newton area or if you are traveling from out of town, it is worth paying a visit to the iittala shop at Didriks. This iittala “shop in shop” is the first of it’s kind in the USA and nearly the entire iittala dinnerware, glassware and home furnishings collection is on display and in stock. The timeless collections in the iittala range include designs from Aalvar Aalto, Renzo Piano, Oiva Toika, Aino Aalto, and Antonio Citerio to name a few. You can see a full list of iittala designers here. Iittala was established in Finland in 1881 and has since become a staple in the Scandinavian home. Some of the classic designs that can be found throughout Scandinavia and around the world include the Aalto Vase, Teema Dinnerware, Kartio and Aino Aalto colored glassware, Aarne and Tapio barware, cast iron pot, and the beloved Toika glass birds. Some of the newer collections include the Taika and Sarjaton dinnerware, and Lempi and Marc Newson glassware. Many of the collections have evolved over the years, especially in regards to the colors that are offered, but throughout the years iittala has remained true to their designs, core values and their Scandinavian heritage. We invite you to visit The Mill at Newton Lower Falls to explore this collection of dinnerware and home decor products at Didriks first hand.
